Data Collection Assistant

Study · Understanding of Sexual Assault and Stalking Among Nigerian Diaspora Communities in the UK

Share recruitment posts across your networks, distribute the survey link in relevant community and university groups, and help track response numbers. No clinical background required.

Requirements

  • Currently studying or graduated in psychology or a related field
  • Comfortable using social media and WhatsApp for outreach
  • Lived connection to a community the study is recruiting from is helpful but not essential

Time commitment

2 to 3 hours per week for 4 weeks

Research Assistant, Literature Review

Study · Understanding of Sexual Assault and Stalking Among Nigerian Diaspora Communities in the UK

Search and synthesise existing academic research in defined areas: crime recognition, underreporting, diaspora mental health, and forensic psychology. Produce a structured summary document.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate year 3 or above, or postgraduate
  • Active university library access and experience searching academic databases (PsycINFO, Google Scholar, PubMed)
  • Strong academic writing skills

Time commitment

3 hours per week for 4 weeks

Interview Assistant (Future Qualitative Study)

Study · Applications open now for shortlisting; role begins when the qualitative phase launches

Support participant interviews including note-taking, transcription, and basic thematic coding. Attend a brief training session before the study begins.

  • Completed research methods or qualitative methods training
  • Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • High level of sensitivity given the nature of the study topic

Requirements

  • Psychology background at any level

  • Understanding of how to communicate research to a non-academic audience

2 hours per week, ongoing
